ANALYSIS OF STUDENTS' MATHEMATICAL COMPUTATIONAL THINKING ABILITY ON PYTHAGOREAN THEOREM MATERIAL
Abstract
This study aims to describe students' mathematical computational thinking ability on Pythagorean theorem material. This research is of the descriptive quantitative type. The subjects of this study were 26 students of class VIII.A at MTsN Padang Panjang. The research instrument used is a test of mathematical computational thinking skills in the form of descriptive questions. Based on the results of the mathematical computational thinking ability test, it is known that students obtained an average score of 64.58; with an average score on the decomposition indicator of 73.33; on the pattern recognition indicator of 68.67; on the abstraction indicator of 53.33; and on the algorithm thinking indicator of 73.33. The conclusion of this study is that students' mathematical computational thinking ability in solving problems on Pythagorean theorem material is in the medium category.
