Abstract

This study aims to determine how the mathematical problem solving ability of students. This research was conducted at MTsN 2 Padang Pariaman in class VII. The research subjects were 31 students The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative method. The data collection technique used is the test method. The results of data analysis show that the mathematical problem solving ability of class VII students of MTsN 2 Padang Pariaman is classified as moderate with the highest average on the indicator of understanding the problem, and the lowest indicator on the indicator of checking back.
