DEVELOPMENT OF ANIMATION VIDEO INTEGRATED WITH PHYSICAL ETHNOSCIENCE IN THE MAKING OF TANAH LIEK BATIK ON THE CRITICAL THINKING SKILLS OF HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS

Abstract

This study aims to develop an integrated animation video of physics ethnoscience in making Tanah Liek batik towards critical thinking skills of SMA/MA students. This type of research is R&D using the Plomp model with stages of preliminary research, prototyping phase, and assessment phase. The assessment stage is an activity to assess the practicality of the integrated animation video product of physics ethnoscience whose subjects are students. In the development of the prototype stage, it is used to assess the validity of the product in terms of content/material, construction, and language, which are assessed by expert lecturers. Research data were obtained through observation of the practicality questionnaire of educators and students of SMA N 2 Ranah Batahan. The assessment results showed that the integrated animation video of physics ethnoscience in making Tanah Liek batik towards critical thinking skills of students was very valid with an average score of 85.90%. The practicality test of the product with an average of 88.6% was categorized as very practical. So, this animation video, because it has been categorized as valid and practical, is suitable for use as a learning material.
