IPS TEACHERS' PREVENTIVE EFFORTS AGAINST BULLYING ON THE LEARNING OF SOCIAL SCIENCES IN SMP NEGERI 6 PARIAMAN CITY

Abstract

The objectives of this research are: (1) To find out how bullying occurs and the types of bullying that occur at SMP Negeri 6 Kota Pariaman schools. (2) To find out how social studies teachers prevent bullying that occurs at SMP Negeri 6 Kota Pariaman. (3) To find out the results of social studies teachers' efforts to prevent bullying that occurred at SMP Negeri 6 Kota Pariaman, and these efforts can be used as a guideline for all schools in Indonesia in efforts to prevent bullying at the middle school or MTS level.This research method is qualitative, the data sources are taken from interviews, observations and documentation of social studies teachers and students who have experienced bullying. Data validity testing in qualitative research includes construct validity testing. This validity can also be achieved with an appropriate data collection process. The type of research researchers use in this research is case study research. In this research the author uses a qualitative descriptive method, namely describing the condition of the object under study as it is, according to data obtained in the field. The data analysis technique goes through 3 stages, namely data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions.IPS towards acts of bullying in social studies learning at SMP Negeri 6 Kota Pariaman (1) The types of bullying that occur at SMP Negeri 6 Kota Pariaman are verbal bullying, physical bullying and cyber bullying. (2) Preventive or bullying prevention efforts have been implemented from the start when students first enter school. Instill good morals in students. Apart from giving direct information, this is also applied during the teaching and learning process. Efforts were made to give a way by reprimanding, giving advice and informing him and having to apologize to his friend directly. (3) The results of the social studies teacher's efforts to prevent bullying that occurred at SMP Negeri 6 Kota Pariaman include instilling an anti-bullying attitude after the social studies teacher carried out through social studies learning material on the prohibition of conflict, an attitude of tolerance between others, and caring for each other.
