Abstract

This study aims to describe the development of the concept of religious moderation, especially in Indonesia. This research uses the method used in this study using a method or library approach (library research), that library or library studies can be defined as a series of activities related to library data collection methods, reading and recording and processing research materials. The results of this study show that this goodness is obtained because of its moderate character (ummatan wasatan) which demands justice and goodness. The international world needs it. Because a complete understanding is fundamental in the application of a concept, which in this context is moderation.  Moreover, the concept in question has become an inseparable part of Islam itself.  So as a Muslim, a complete understanding of moderation must be accompanied by actualization efforts in everyday life. In its application, of course, it starts with oneself, then the family, until in the end, moderation/wasathiyyah can become the personality of the wider community.
