USE OF EDUCATION CARD (E-CARD) MEDIA IN SOCIAL SCIENCE LEARNING AT CLASS VIII SMP N 1 BATANG ANAI

Abstract

This research was motivated by some students' lack of enthusiasm and enthusiasm in the teaching and learning process that took place in social studies subjects. The objectives of this research are: 1. To determine the use of time in the learning process. 2. To determine the role of using Education Card media in increasing students' interest in learning at SMP N 1 Batang Anai. 3. What are the obstacles in using Educatio Card media in increasing students' interest in learning at SMP N 1 Batang Anai. This type of research is qualitative descriptive research, which was carried out at Batang Anai 1 State Junior High School. Qualitative descriptive research is not intended to test a particular hypothesis, but only describes what is about a variable, symptom or condition of class VIII students at SMP Negeri 1 Batang Anai Padang Pariaman for the 2023/2024 academic year. The results of the research show that using Education Card media in the social studies learning process not only focuses students' attention, but also increases their level of understanding of the importance of social studies lessons and the teacher has implemented Education Card media in accordance with the steps, namely: 1 ) Media planning, 2) Implementation of Education Card media and 3) obstacles to the use of Education Card media in the learning of students in class VIII in social studies subjects.
