IMPACT AND SOLUTIONS FOR BROKEN HOME FAMILIES ON CHILDREN’S BEHAVIOR AT SCHOOL
Abstract
This research aims to identify and analyze the impact of broken home families on student behavior at school. The research method used was in-depth interviews with five sources who had direct experience with students from broken homes. The data obtained were analyzed using a qualitative approach to identify general patterns in students' psychological and behavioral impacts in the school context. The research results show that students from broken homes tend to exhibit behavior such as seeking excessive attention, difficulty in self-regulation, and engaging in extreme delinquent behavior. They also often experience loss of motivation in studying, lack of focus, and difficulty maintaining stable relationships with teachers and classmates. In conclusion, a broken home family situation significantly impacts student behavior at school. A deep approach is needed from the school, including teachers and counselors, to help students overcome this challenge. The recommendations include strengthening students' social-emotional relationships, providing appropriate psychological support, and close collaboration between schools and parents to create a supportive educational environment for students from broken homes.
