THE URGENCY OF IQRA' GUIDANCE FOR PLAYGROUND TEACHERS [A STUDY IN 'AISYIYAH PLAYGROUND IN WEST SUMATRA]

This research is motivated by the demands of professional competence for a teacher in presenting Islamic Religious Education (PAI) materials to students, especially in topics that require specific skills. In case of errors, it will impact the students' competencies and the value of the respective material. It started with hearing kindergarten children showcasing their abilities through various presentations, including videos, RRI Padang broadcasts, and unintentional live performances. Besides singing, the most frequently highlighted skills were memorization of prayers, recitation of short verses, and thayyibah phrases like hamdalah and subhanallah. Subsequently, the researcher conducted direct observations in several kindergartens, blending in with parents who were observing their children lining up in front of the school. These observations revealed discrepancies in recitations, both from teachers and kindergarten children. Meanwhile, TK 'Asyiyah, as a basic education institution, introduces the learning process, character formation, and the introduction of religious values to children. Therefore, TK 'Asyiyah must be an institution of quality. The research method includes observation, interviews, discussions, and problem formulation presented in a descriptive form. The principles include active participation, participation, partnership, and network expansion. Based on this, the research will discuss the importance of Iqra' Guidance for teachers as the basic part of PAI material in TK 'Aisyiyah. The goal is to obtain benefits and usefulness from Iqra' Guidance, propose solutions to problems, and determine the form of guidance to be implemented. The hope is that teachers will be able to maintain the correct recitation of Quranic verses, prayers, thayyibah phrases, and prayer recitations, thus avoiding errors, having confidence, having the ability to improve the quality of material presentation in TK, and being able to improve operationalization. Simultaneously, this will lead to an improvement in the quality of religious professional competence of PAI teachers at TK 'Aisyiyah, towards good educational outcomes.
