DEVELOPMENT OF PODCAST MEDIA ON SPOTIFY APPLICATION FOR LEARNING MAHARAH AL-ISTIMA' CLASS VIII MTS AN-NIZOMIYAH TEBO JAMBI STUDENTS

Abstract

The development of social media is currently increasingly extraordinary considering that currently the role of technology cannot be separated from every human life. One form of digital technology that is developing in the millennial generation is podcasts. Podcasts are a new alternative to audio-based learning. The use of podcasts has never been developed in Maharatul al-Istima' learning in class VIII MTs An-Nizomiyah Tebo Jambi, even though podcasts themselves have many advantages that can be utilized according to today's learning needs. This research aims to: 1) Analyze the needs for developing podcast media on the Spotify application 2) Design podcast media on the Spotify application 3) Develop podcast media on Spotify 4) Disseminate podcast media on the Spotify application. This research uses the RnD (Research and Development) method with the 4D Define, Design, Develop and Disseminate development model. This media was tested on class VIII MTs An-Nizomiyah Tebo Jambi. Data collection was carried out by means of observation, interviews, needs analysis questionnaires, and product trial response questionnaires. The results of this research explain the development of media in the form of podcasts which are equipped with supporting features. After being developed, this media received a positive response in the field. Students are enthusiastic about receiving material in podcast form, because it is considered fun and different (something new or contemporary), so that interest in learning increases because learning is more varied. And from the feasibility test by experts and students it can be categorized as very valid, meaning this media can be implemented in the field as a learning media.
