IMPLEMENTATION OF DIFFERENTIATION LEARNING IN SOCIAL SCIENCE LEARNING AT SMPN 1 SOLOK

The background to this research is that educators still have difficulty implementing differentiated learning in the independent curriculum. Therefore, the aims of this research are (1) this research was conducted to describe the planning of differentiated learning in social studies learning at SMP Negeri 1 Solok (2) to describe the implementation of differentiated learning in social studies learning at SMP Negeri 1 Solok (3) to find out what obstacles problems faced in implementing differentiated learning in social studies learning at SMP Negeri 1 Solok. The research method used in this research is field research, namely field research with the approach used is a qualitative descriptive approach. The data sources used are primary data, namely school principals, social studies teachers, students at SMP Negeri 1 Solok, and secondary data, namely documents related to the research focus. The data collection tools used were observation, interviews and documentation. Meanwhile, the data analysis techniques used are data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of this research show that: One, differentiated learning planning for social studies learning at SMP Negeri 1 Solok has been planned with planning, namely educators compiling teaching modules. Second, the implementation of differentiated learning in social studies learning at SMP Negeri 1 Solok has been implemented with differentiated learning steps but the implementation is still not optimal because in implementing learning educators still have difficulty finding various learning media and methods that are suitable for various types of student learning. . Third, there are obstacles experienced by educators in implementing differentiated learning in social studies learning at SMP Negeri 1 Solok, including limited time in learning so that educators do not have enough time to focus on each student individually, difficulty adjusting the learning needs of individual students, difficulty finding media. learning that is suitable for students who have diverse learning types.
