THE INFLUENCE OF ROLE-PLAYING LEARNING MODEL ON IMPROVING SOCIAL SCIENCE LEARNING OUTCOMES FOR 7TH GRADE STUDENTS AT MTSN 4 MUKO-MUKO

Abstract

This research aims to determine whether the Role Playing learning model has an effect in improving the learning outcomes of class VII students at Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri (MTsN) 4 Muko-muko. This type of research is quantitative research with an experimental approach. The sample in this study was class VII students at Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri (MTsN) 4 Muko-muko consisting of 20 people from the control class and 20 people from the experimental class. The instrument used to collect data is in the form of test questions (pretest and posttest). The results of the pretest and posttest were analyzed using Microsof Excel 2007. From the research results obtained by the t-test, it was proven that the use of the role playing learning model had a significant difference in improving student learning outcomes. This can be seen from the difference in post-test results for the experimental and control classes. The results of the t-test analysis show that the mean value for the experimental class is higher than the mean for the control class. In the experimental class, the mean was 81.45. Meanwhile, the control class got a mean of 73.6. The results of this research show that using the role playing learning model can be a way or solution to improve the Social Sciences (IPS) learning outcomes of class VII students at Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri (MTsN) 4 Muko-muko.
