EDUCATIONAL INTERACTION WITH POLITENESS STRATEGIES FROM AN ISLAMIC PERSPECTIVE

Abstract

Educational interaction plays an important role in creating a positive learning atmosphere. Linguistic politeness is a fundamental element in realizing educational interaction that has an impact on learning. The practice of educational interaction in schools still ignores the aspect of linguistic politeness. Such studies and facts underlie this research, with a focus on how linguistic politeness strategies are from an Islamic perspective in educational interaction. The purpose of the study was to find the politeness strategies from an Islamic perspective and its application in educational interaction. This qualitative research used a linguistic and pedagogical approach. The research data were the form of verses of the Qur'an and hadith related to linguistic politeness. The findings of the study were that the politeness strategies from an Islamic perspective were divided into two categories, 1) Rabbani expression strategies, consisting of: (1) salam (greetings), (2) doa (prayers), (3) syukur (gratitude), (4) dzikir (dhikr). 2) Communication strategies, consisting of: (1) good diction, (2) appropriate sentences, (3) speaking slowly, (4) metaphors, (5) give priority to the older ones. The conclusion of the study, polite educational interactions can be realized with the strategy of politeness from an Islamic perspective.
