GUIDANCE AND COUNSELING IN THE INDEPENDENT CURRICULUM

The concept of Merdeka Curriculum as a transformation of Merdeka Belajar policy which prioritizes an approach centered on the interests, talents, and abilities of students towards the realization of the Pancasila Learner Profile. The Pancasila Learner Profile is the basis for educational units to provide guidance and counseling services, and is a long-term goal that overshadows all guidance and counseling services. The setting of Guidance and Counseling services in the era of the independent curriculum still adheres to the 4 aspects of BK services, namely personal aspects, social aspects, learning aspects and career aspects, 4 BK service components, namely basic services, specialization services and individual planning, responsive services and system support services to realize students to become competent lifelong learners, have character and behave according to Pancasila values. Guidance and counseling (BK) is expected to be able to accommodate students in understanding and accepting themselves as a whole person according to their environment, developing potential / abilities, designing the future and solving problems to achieve independence and benefit of students.
