PROPHETIC ISLAMIC EDUCATION KUNTOWIJOYO: CURRICULUM INNOVATION IN PESANTREN EDUCATION IN THE ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE ERA

The method used in this study is a literature study of Kuntowijoyo's thoughts on the prophetic Islamic education curriculum that is able to adapt to the era of artificial intelligence, including for pesantren education. The onslaught of technological advances in the era of artificial intelligence is the latest problem for the world of Islamic education, including pesantren. Various problems, such as graduates of technology-starved pesantren and artificial intelligence that cannot be utilized, require pesantren to make updates from various sides, including the curriculum. The curriculum concept offered for the world of pesantren education requires a future-oriented curriculum so that it can adapt to the onslaught of the artificial intelligence era. Kuntowijoyo offers a prophetic Islamic education curriculum concept with three main basic principles in curriculum development in pesantren, namely humanization, teaching artificial intelligence technology curriculum by focusing on the needs of mankind and adjusting the local traditions of pesantren, liberation with artificial intelligence teaching curriculum in accordance with the abilities and interests of students, and transcendence, strengthening spiritual values and the process of integrating science and artificial intelligence technology into Islam and encouraging its use to increase faith in God.
