CASE STUDY ON "ANALYSIS OF THE CAUSES OF READING DIFFICULTIES FOR HIGH CLASS STUDENTS AT SDN 11 BELAKANG TANGSI

Abstract

Aim of the research are : 1. To analize the reading difficulties of students grade V in SDN 11 Belakang Tangsi. 2. To determined strategies and metodh teacher class grade V in SDN 11 Belakang Tangsi. This type of reseach describtive qualitative type. Implementation of this research was carri out in gasal event semester of school 2024/2025. This study used three subjects, namely class grade V in SDN 11 Belakang Tangsi and  gradE V  teacher SDN 11 Belakang Tangsi. Researchers data collection using the method of observasion, documentation, interviuews, and test. Data analysis techniques used were data reduction, data presentatoin, and data verivication. To test the validity of te data, researches used source triangulation and technical triangulation. The result showed that the cause of student’s reading difficulties was due to: 1) lack of attention from both teacher and parents, 2) lack of concentration, 3) students still had difficulty spelling letters, 4) students still had difficulty distinguishing letters, 5) students were still reading sentences intermittently. The classroom teacher strategy is: 1) taking a special approach, 2) givig additional hours after school, 3) giving rewards and clapping hands with his friends when students finish reading to encourage 4) used Puzzle to Reading to make easy
