DIFFERENCES IN STUDENT LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE STUDENT FACILITATOR AND EXPLAINING MODEL WITH THE CONVENTIONAL MODEL OF PAI-BP SUBJECTS IN SMP N 11 PADANG

This research is motivated by the learning model used has not activated students, it can be seen from the number of students who are less concentrated in learning, lack of enthusiasm and feel bored in the learning process which causes low student learning outcomes in Islamic Religious Education and Good Manners (PAI-BP) subjects. The way that can be done to overcome this problem is to apply the Student Facilitator and Explaining learning model in Islamic Religious Education and Ethics subjects. This type of research is a quasi-experimental research. The population of this study were all 8th grade students of SMP N 11 Padang in the 2022/2023 school year. Sampling was carried out using the Random Cluster Sampling technique, the class selected as the experimental class was VIII-A and the control class was VIII-D class. The results showed that the average pretest score of the experimental class was 55.48 and the average pretest score of the control class was 56.33, while the average posttest score of the experimental class was 86.12 and the average posttest score of the control class was 72.50. Based on hypothesis testing with SPSS version 25 if sig. a (2-tailed) of = 0.000, namely (0.000 <0.05).This means that Ha which says there are differences in student learning outcomes using the Student Facilitator and Explaining learning model in Islamic Religious Education and Ethics class VIII subjects at SMP N 11 Padang is accepted and H0 is rejected.
